Magic Bullet’s NutriBullet Smoothie Maker – Which one to buy

NutriBullet from Magic Bullet has made a name for itself as the personal smoothie maker of choice among busy and health conscious individuals and it’s easy to see why.

The smoothie maker is compact, simple to assembly, powerful, quick, easy to use and cleanup with exceptional nutrient extraction power.

It uses a unique Extractor Blade that twists directly onto a tall cup or mug provided, allowing for direct extraction and preparation of your drink in the same vessel.

NutriBullet’s Five Unique Features

Here are five features unique to the smoothie maker.

Easy to Use

Load up the tall cup or mug with vegetable or fruits according to your recipe. Pop the lid with Cross Blade on, making sure you have a tight seal and turn over the container. Line up the tabs and slot it into the power base and away it goes. Remove the container from the base after 4 or 5 seconds or until desired consistency is reached. There are no buttons to press.

Portion for One

Depending on the model, some having bigger capacity than others, the NutriBullet is great for preparing single or double portions of smoothie, straight in the cup provided.

The NutriBullet saves time with its efficient design using its special blade and unique bullet shape. These features work together to quickly and forcefully circulate food back into the Cyclonic Cutting Zone®, allowing the NutriBullet to blend virtually any food in seconds.

Easy Cleaning and Washing Up

All Magic Bullet attachments are dishwasher-safe and the Power Base can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth to remove any debris. When finished, simply rinse out the blade and cups, either hand-wash them with soup and water, or place them right into the top shelf of the dishwasher.

Compact & Light

Unlike the standard blender, the NutriBullet is compact and small, taking up less space on the counter top and need less room for storage. It is also much lighter than the conventional blender requiring little effort to take out and put away.

So which NutriBullet should you consider? At the time of writing there are three different models in the market as listed below:

While the NutriBullet only prepares one cup of smoothie at a time, it does comes with two or more cups perfect for couples or small family.

The Original NutriBullet also known as the NutriBullet 600 is the company’s best selling smoothie maker, great for one or two people, granted that one would have a smaller 18 oz cup while the other have a bigger 24 oz cup perfect for up to 5 portions of fruits or vegetables. It also come with a smaller and more efficient 600 watt motor, sufficient for the amount of fruit and/or vegetable it has to work with. Available in Black, Red or Silver.

NOTE: Model shown above is the 10-piece set, typical NutriBullet 600 comes in 8-piece set.

The NutriBullet Pro 900 series on the other hand includes up to three cups of different sizes, great for preparing smoothies for up to three people. You just have to decide who gets the 18, 24 or 32oz. The inclusion of the 32oz cup allows for up to 7 portions of fruits or vegetables. Powered by a 900 watt motor, it is capable of breaking down tougher ingredients like wheat grass and whole fruit. For convenience, it also includes Flip Top To-Go Lid.

Finally, for the top of the range NutriBullet, it is the NutriBullet RX powered by a 1700 watt motor. Not only does it have  bigger capacity cups, 30oz and 45oz, it also has heating element to make delicious hot soup in minutes using the Soup Making heating cycle. Unlike the other NutriBullet, it can be operated hands-free and depending on the cup or container in use, it takes up to 12 portions of fruits or vegetables.

NutriBullet RX also includes a SouperBlast Pitcher with 2-piece vented lid when extracting ingredients in Soup-Making Mode. The vented Lid allows heat and pressure to escape during the soup-making process, while the pitcher’s spout allows for easy pouring into serving dishes. The whole soup making cycle takes 7 minutes for fresh, piping hot soup and beverages.

BONUS: The Original Magic Bullet Blender

From the company that brought you the NutriBullet, Magic Bullet’s Original Blender is a clear alternative to NutriBullet.

While not marketed as a nutrient extractor, the Magic Bullet’s original blender functions in pretty much the same way with a high torque power base, stainless steel cross blade lid, tall cup or mugs and stay fresh resealable lids.
